Sam Kerr joins English giant Chelsea

Matildas star Sam Kerr has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with English club Chelsea on a deal worth more than $600,000 a season.

The 26-year-old had previously shared her club football commitments between Perth Glory in the W-League and Chicago Red Stars in the National Women's Soccer League in the United States."Sam has proved time and time again in the NWSL that she is a prolific goal scorer," Chelsea FC Women manager Emma Hayes said in a statement.
