Victorian hospitality venues and some retail businesses will be able to reopen in outdoor areas once Victoria reaches its 70 per cent full-vaccination target.
By Christmas Day, up to 30 visitors will be allowed to the home, if the 80 per cent full vaccination target is met, under the state's five-step plan. Once Victoria hits the 70 per cent target, expected around October 26, there will be no limits on travel and outdoor gatherings of 50 people will be allowed.
Under the long-anticipated roadmap out of Victoria's marathon restrictions, schools will gradually reopen from October 5, starting with year 12 students. Visitors to the home will remain banned until the state hits 80 per cent of the 16+ population fully vaccinated, with five people allowed as a first step.
And everyone believes a single word andrews says 🙄
We were kept in lockdown for months because of the shit his super computer spat out. Then we were told that modelling doesn't work so he kept us in lockdown. Now we are told it is based on modelling so the situation might change. WTF.
Roadmap is leadin straight to a ghetto
So half dead with my zombie businesses.... Going crazy Soon
It will be interesting to see if the biased ABC bags Dan's plan like they did Gladys
What a joke. I'm getting vaccinated but i dont support the idea that after 80% vax +12yr olds vaxxed, that ANYBODY is then excluded from the economy. DanielAndrewsMP you disgust me with this narrative. Absolutely ashamed to be a part of this state.
It’s a shitmap
Based on vaccination-why should metro & regional be any different. The same rules should apply based on the national plan - this is BS
Yo-Yo lockdowns because politicians are giving it a red hot crack
The shit eating grin you get when you realise you can draw out the lockdown for another month. DictatorDan
4. Japan's hospitals are now over run. People are being turned away from hospitals and are forced to die either on trolleys or at home because there is no room left in hospitals. It's a global plague. If Morrison was advocating what Andrews is doing, I'd be backing him too.
3. So far, there have been 1100 deaths in Australia in 18 months. The longer we don't open up, the less people die. But it's not that easy. There will be a substantial increase in deaths even with vaccination when we open up.
2. UK pop is 66 million. Daily deaths from Covid = 180 right now Extrapolate to Australia = 39 deaths per day = 273 a week = 1000 per month = over 12,000 a year if we opened up right now. Is that what we want?
USA population is 328 mill. Daily deaths are 2000 right now. Extrapolate to Australia = 185 deaths per day could be expected = 5500 a month - would be over 65,000 a year based on USA daily deaths right now. Our hospitals would simply be overrun rapidly opening up right now.
So when are we 100% open?
... the road is too long 😠😡 ENDLOCKDOWNNOW
Under Daniel Andrews' road map out of Covid-19, when people in Sydney are able to fly to Hawaii for a holiday, Melburnians will still be banned from travelling more than 25 km from home.
The big gatherings better be for fully vaxxed people only. The unvaxxed need to be made to stay in lockdown.
