Victoria records 45 new coronavirus cases and five more deathsThe 14-day rolling average number of daily cases in Melbourne has fallen to 42.7, well below the 30-50 cases per day benchmark needed for the city to move into the next stage out of restrictions on 28 September. What happens if the average is less than 30? We can't move on to the next step. To quote the dhs, '...when the daily average case rate is between 30-50 cases over the previous 14 days.' So according to this if it is too low, we can't proceed to the second step... 14 days of under 50 cannot be achieved until 29 September!! Calm down.. 42.7 is not 'well below' the target of 30-50 cases.
