Queensland border restrictions set to be eased with ACT as no new cases recorded overnight

Queensland will reopen its border to Canberrans, who will be able to fly into the Sunshine State from next Friday, Health Minister Steven Miles says.

"This is great news for the ACT and is recognition for the fact that they have been sometime without any cases," he said. "Now is the time we would urge them [Canberrans] to start thinking about coming up to Queensland for a holiday." "Obviously we would hope to continue to see no new cases or only new cases in quarantine, up to that 14-day period, at which time we can consider lifting restrictions," he said.

Like a Year 12 Geography exam question. 'If the borders are closed into Queensland, yet those from the ACT and Canberra can visit: how many kilometres do you have to drive from ACT to be able to enter Queensland?' And as a Victorian, what decade did you last know of Queensland?

An excellent insight into how things would be in Victoria if DanielAndrewsMP, VictorianCHO and JennyMikakos hadn't being running the shitshow of hotel quarantine. Victoria - The Police State.

Interesting it coincides with the school holidays,

Does lifting of the ACT-QLD restriction safeguard Sydney residents from driving 2.5 hours to ACT to board a flight to Brisbane?

If only there was an internationally recognised form of photographic ID that also included your address so you could prove where you lived, which one could then produce prior to getting on a plane (and even also at the other end) to verify their bona fides...

More details - what about Queanbeyan residents
