Physicist and Author Peter Ridd says just about every area of the Great Barrier Reef - according to the statistics - "has completely recovered" since the 2016 bleaching event and is in "no danger". "The area which was hit by the 2016 bleaching has completely recovered; every area except one has got above average coral cover, some at near-record levels... so actually the statistics make it look wonderful," he said.

SKY NEWS is clearly a parody news outlet? Oh no 😱 it’s not!! Just news for the mentally challenged

You can always find one rogue scientist to support corporate ratbags. Some doctors supported tobacco smoking for asthma last century. MauriceGSwanson Romy_Sohal MaloneRuth

Reef science & Libertarian bias are not good bed fellows •

With you guys pushing Murdoch speak and the ABC pushing Labour talk most of us are getting our news from tea leaves😎

'Your judgment is askew'.

Andrew...You missed out the fact Peter Ridd has long business relationship with the IPA. The IPA funded by mining interests. The IPA that are one biggest climate deniers in Australia. Probably time to remind viewers of the News Corp media policy as told by Tucker Carlson.

Does that mean the Australian people get their $500million back or is that in the Cayman Islands now?

They need to talk to a botanist.

Might as well ask a virologist about space travel.

Nationals party room, not Barnaby Joyce, will decide on climate policy | Sky News AustraliaNationals MP Anne Webster has rubbished suggestions leader Barnaby Joyce will dictate the party’s approach to climate, insisting any policy considerations will be made as a cohesive party room.\n\nCritics of Mr Joyce have warned the ascension of the Member of New England as leader of the Nationals Party poses an obstacle to Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s net-zero emissions aspirations.\n\n“I was very pleased to hear Barnaby talk about this not being Barnaby’s policies but rather the national party room’s policies,” Ms Webster told Sky News. \n\n“Each of us bring our own priorities to the party room and together as a party, we have to come up with policy that reflects all of our electorates not just one electorate.”\n\nMs Webster also backed plans to invest in the development of renewable energy and the Coalition is committed to manufacturing that will “see us have a future”. \n\n“I believe we are investing significantly in the development of technologies around renewables and around clean energy per se,” she continued.\n\n“That is what we need to be focusing on going forward, not causing our regions to go broke, not closing down towns, not closing down industries, but rather investing in industries such as manufacturing which will see us have a future.”\n AnneWebsterMP Barnaby_Joyce They've just had a DillSpill and Webster calls them 'cohesive' ... ABC's 'Australia Talks' initiative should be called 'Australia Spins': Kenny | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny says the ABC's 'Australia Talks' initiative is not really a report on what Australia thinks – it's more like 'Twitter views' of the world.\n\nThe ABC's Australia Talks initiative 'is a massive joint opinion research project with a polling firm and Melbourne University,' Mr Kenny said.\n\n'One of the biggest problems with this, as I've have highlighted before, is that it is not representative, the sample is large but it is based on people who have been responding to an ABC online initiative.\n\n'The ABC insists their survey does not reflect mainly ABC audience views, even though the respondents are based on those who use the ABC Vote compass survey.\n\n'They cannot pretend, surely, that that those people who fill out the Vote Compass survey make up a random sample of Australians.\n\n'Perhaps instead of calling this Australia Talks it should be called Vote Compass talks, or ABC programmers market researchers and taxpayer-funded activists talk.\n\n'Or simpler, Australia Spins.' You should do one for the bloke that watches Sky to balance things out.... Chris, if you and sky had any integrity you might make a serious attempt to understand what people want rather than belittling an honest attempt by the ABC Is that like the SkyNewsOz view of the world?

Slow vaccine rollout may prove to be a ‘positive’ for Australia’s economy | Sky News AustraliaSky News contributor Peter Switzer says the slow pace of the vaccine rollout may actually turn out to be a “positive” for the nation’s economy since the closed borders are forcing Australians to spend their money at home. \n\n“In many ways the opening of our borders is going to be a very important step forward for the economy,” he said.\n\n“You’ve got to remember, something like $65 billion is spent by Australians every year when they go overseas. That money is here and, in a sense, it’s creating a lot of stimulus for the economy. \n\n“We wouldn’t want this to go on forever.\n\n“I think the AstraZeneca problems on one hand have slowed up the opening of our economy, but on the other hand I guess the fact that our vaccination program’s so slow … it might prove to be a positive in the end”. \n Stupid comment. Grasping to support a useless Morrison. Clive Palmer slammed for letters spreading COVID-19 misinformation, Vaccine Concern Hmm: Norway delays AstraZeneca vaccine ruling to further probe risks Poll: Australia 26% say NO to Vaccine What money? Most pax are living on a very tight budget. Prices for everything just keeping going up. Disposable income is just not there any more...
