Sky News host Peta Credlin says Barnaby Joyce “didn’t take a backwards step” during Question Time after his reinstatement as deputy prime minister.

“He knows his opponent, and he knows how to take on his opponent,” Ms Credlin told Sky News host Alan Jones.

“Politicians will talk tough about the other side on Sky News, but when you get there and you really are toe to toe with them, it takes a lot of guts to really take the fight up to them in the chamber. “He didn’t take a backwards step … he hasn’t even been a minister for the last six years.”

Too bad he didn't take a flying leap. We'll just have to wait for the next ballot for the Australian people's boot to send him on one.
