Sky News host Chris Kenny says the ABC's 'Australia Talks' initiative is not really a report on what Australia thinks – it's more like 'Twitter views' of the world.

Sky News host Chris Kenny says the ABC's 'Australia Talks' initiative is not really a report on what Australia thinks – it's more like "Twitter views" of the world. The ABC's Australia Talks initiative "is a massive joint opinion research project with a polling firm and Melbourne University," Mr Kenny said.

"One of the biggest problems with this, as I've have highlighted before, is that it is not representative, the sample is large but it is based on people who have been responding to an ABC online initiative. "The ABC insists their survey does not reflect mainly ABC audience views, even though the respondents are based on those who use the ABC Vote compass survey.

Is that like the SkyNewsOz view of the world?

Chris, if you and sky had any integrity you might make a serious attempt to understand what people want rather than belittling an honest attempt by the ABC

You should do one for the bloke that watches Sky to balance things out....

'We must call out the continuing authoritarian streak of our leaders': Kenny | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny says Australians must call out the 'continuing authoritarian streak' of the country's leaders and the sense they set one rule for themselves and another for everyone else.\n\nMr Kenny said those who have endured the 'suffering' restrictions have imposed on them found it hard to 'stomach' PM Scott Morrison visiting the graves of his ancestors in his trip to the G7 - something they 'don't get to do anymore'.\n\n'I think Morrison would have been better off either sharing all this with the media at the time, or not doing it,' Mr Kenny said.\n\n'Still, he is not the main culprit on this stuff ... the real problems are the state premiers, all of them except Gladys Berejiklian in NSW.\n\n'And one of the worst has been Annastacia Palaszczuk in Queensland, who along with her Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young, has refused a stack of people looking for humanitarian exemptions for funerals and to visit loved ones and the like.\n\n'They seem to have only made exemptions for movie stars and sports stars.\n\nMr Kenny also said the Queensland premier's government not allowing an exemption for fully vaccinated US couple Mark Kilian and his wife Anneli to visit the state to say goodbye to Mark's dying father was 'heartless' and disproportionate.\n\n'This sort of heartlessness is hard to comprehend. It fails to consider risk in a proportionate way.\n\n'Yet we know that the Queensland Premier herself bent the rules to get a Pfizer vaccine, in case she can go to the Tokyo Olympics in a few weeks – talk about one rule for them and another for us.' Says Ruperts sphincter The bowling ball's buddy just got back from allegedly tracing his family in the UK. Enough said! Are you serious? How the fck do you exclude Gladys Berejiklian and that other peanut John Barilaro as not authoritarian? Have you not heard of what happened to friendlyjordies. Love them or hate them this is the CCP type authoritarianism we are seeing in HK

Slow vaccine rollout may prove to be a ‘positive’ for Australia’s economy | Sky News AustraliaSky News contributor Peter Switzer says the slow pace of the vaccine rollout may actually turn out to be a “positive” for the nation’s economy since the closed borders are forcing Australians to spend their money at home. \n\n“In many ways the opening of our borders is going to be a very important step forward for the economy,” he said.\n\n“You’ve got to remember, something like $65 billion is spent by Australians every year when they go overseas. That money is here and, in a sense, it’s creating a lot of stimulus for the economy. \n\n“We wouldn’t want this to go on forever.\n\n“I think the AstraZeneca problems on one hand have slowed up the opening of our economy, but on the other hand I guess the fact that our vaccination program’s so slow … it might prove to be a positive in the end”. \n Stupid comment. Grasping to support a useless Morrison. Clive Palmer slammed for letters spreading COVID-19 misinformation, Vaccine Concern Hmm: Norway delays AstraZeneca vaccine ruling to further probe risks Poll: Australia 26% say NO to Vaccine What money? Most pax are living on a very tight budget. Prices for everything just keeping going up. Disposable income is just not there any more...
