Two Malaysian nationals have been charged after authorities allegedly caught them unpacking more than 1.2 tonnes of a precursor chemical used to make the drug ice inside a south-west Sydney warehouse.

Malaysian nationals Weng Kay Chong, 22, and Min Yok Cheaw, 63, were arrested in a commercial warehouse in Roselands shortly before midnight on Monday. When border force officials arrived, the men were allegedly unpacking 127 boxes containing the ephedrine. The pair have been charged with importing a commercial quantity of a border controlled precursor, which carries a maximum penalty of 25 years' jail and a possible fine of $1,050,000.

Acting Superintendent of NSW Investigations John Fleming said investigators had not seen such a large amount of a precursor chemical in some time. Investigators this week conducted four search warrants as part of the investigation, including at the Roselands warehouse, residential properties in Bexley and Auburn and a backpackers' hostel in Haymarket.

And yet, an independent tribunal awards politicians (Federal & State) regular wages rises. No stiking or protesting in the streets for them. Nor heated negotiation talks. Or bickering bw both sides. It just happens. Like a tooth fairy secretly leaving money under their pillows. Dan Andrews did not say Yes fast enough.
