Was any of this mentioned on the election campaign?

'More customer focused' = right wing buzzword for: 'Fck the Public & make our donors richer'

Yet another overseas owned thing in Australia.

NO!! the privatisation of public transport hasn't worked in either Melbourne or Sydney.

well its a monopoly so naturally the best thing for the community is that their train fares go directly to the cayman islands

Sell everything, stuff everything then waste the money. It should be illegal to privatise the people’s assets.

Adlaidians know what a mess it is when Serco took over the busses. Fail.

Politicians should recognise the failures of the past. The mood for privatisation of taxpayer's assets has changed to the failures across CommBank, Telecom, Transport, Energy, etc. If you privatise our assets you'll be on the Opposition benches after the the next election.

As soon as you sell a public asset to the private sector costs and prices soar, have you right wing nuts not learned from electricity prices, telecommunications prices, water prices, etc etc? This is a retrograde step which will only shove up the cost of public transport.

By Privatisation I take it they mean, Get a company willing to take $$M base subsidy, we will pay for maintenance and infrastructure risks. They will profit by reducing costs (aka reduce service). Its always a Win Win solution for all (bs)!! Public transport is to important!

Bloody liberals... Sell everything....!!

That’s what you get when you vote in a Liberal Govt!

Typical politician privatise everything. Bad idea.

and why not, its worked so well in Melbourne! (not)

Don't do it, just look at the cluster**** that is Sydney rail

Supercharged plan to build 15,000 electric vehicles in Adelaide per yearElectric vans, utes and eventually cars will be assembled in Adelaide from next year, with start-up company ACE EV to sign an agreement with an Adelaide-based business today. So if there’s 19 point 2 million cars in Australia it’s going to take one thousand two hundred and eighty ( 1,289) years to replace them. Have you told Bill! After losing Holden this is a great opportunity for SA and I hope marshall_steven, the SA govt and local investors get behind it. Would be even better if more parts were made in Australia. I'd love an electric car but I'm not sure how I would charge it as I haven't got access to off street parking Tesla

Woman followed off tram, sexually assaulted in PrestonPolice are hunting for a man who sexually assaulted a woman on the same night and on the same tram line as the fatal attack on Aiia Maasarwe. This is strange. Is there any connection between the two incidents? So you are saying that Codey Herrmann didn't murder her after all... he was a sitting duck... indigenous, homeless + thus known to police... 🙊 Over 30% rise in sexual assaults on our trains and trams.......that increase is too high and questions should be asked......obviously police are lacking numbers to follow up on incidents.

Outer suburbs' transport woes driving heart disease, obesity epidemicDecades of under-investment in transport on Melbourne's fringe have had serious health impacts – and more than $150b is needed to address the problem. ‘Correlation’ is not Causation. Over-extrapolating studies and data-sets to push an agenda is not good journalism. This article over-reaches in that regard. Now Denial Andrews can be blamed for heart diseases & obesity of Mel outer suburbs ppl. Been away from the Melbourne commute for just over 2 years, and coming back I've noticed just how bad it actually has gotten. Think I'll just continue to work from home...thanks anyway.
