Andy Murray has explained the extent of the shocking injury he suffered during the former world No. 1’s Miami Open tilt.
Speaking on Instagram, he said: “Yesterday towards the end of my match in Miami I suffered a full rupture of my ATFL and near full thickness rupture of my CFL. He scratched from his doubles contest with partner Sebastian Korda after the full extent of the injury blow became apparent.Murray won Wimbledon in 2013 and 2016, adding the slams to his 2012 US Open crown.
Since then, his best slam performances have come at Wimbledon in 2021 and the Australian Open in 2023 when he reached the third round of both.
