Researchers are warning that symptoms of the highly infectious Delta coronavirus variant are different and more dangerous than those of the “original” version.

within three to four days of the onset of symptoms – while in the past, the proportion had been only 2 or 3 per cent of those infected. The virus concentrations detected in their bodies also climbed to levels higher than previously seen, and declined at a slower rate.

“Since the start of May, we have been looking at the top symptoms in the app users – and they are not the same as they were,” said Professor Tim Spector, who runs the study which over four million global participants have logged their symptoms, tests and vaccines for.Headaches are becoming a more common symptom associated with the Delta coronavirus variant.

“We think this is fuelling a lot of the problem,” he said. “This is a very sticky virus and it is explaining in a way why it has done so much damage in such a short time.”“The message here is if you are young, and you are going to get milder symptoms anyway, it might just feel like a bad cold or a funny ‘off’ feeling, but do stay at home and do get a test,” he added.

In India, where the Delta variant originated and has driven the nation’s horror second wave, doctors have alsoMedics believe severe gastric upsets, hearing impairment and blood clots that lead to gangrene have been linked to the strain.

Just a shit newssymptoms are samexwhether alfa beta gama delta or any variant}just creating hype

Yes because the virus creators have several variations that they need to release.

More tabloid nonsense. My brother caught the covids and it's just like a good flu. You feel it good for 10 days and then good as new. We gotta get on with it, stop listening to the fear mongers & rebuild this state after what the alp is doing/has done to it. Life is 4 living

Early in the article it states :Delta strain can feel “more like a bad cold” for younger people, and that the three main symptoms may be less common.

Yet nobody has died yet 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hazzard: Delta variant a 'long jump gold medallist' | Sky News AustraliaNew South Wales Health Minister Brad Hazzard has warned the state’s residents to take the latest COVID outbreak seriously, labelling the Delta strain of the coronavirus a “gold medallist” long jumper. \n\nTen new cases were recorded in the state overnight, bringing the Bondi cluster’s total to 21 cases.\n\n“Last year, we talked about this particular virus when it first came to our shores as being obviously dangerous but it wasn't a long jumper and it wasn’t a high jumper,” Minister Hazzard said. \n\n“We talked about the necessity for the 1.5 metre social distancing, that is still crucial. \n\n“We also need to recognise that the Delta variant of the COVID virus is actually a gold medallist when it comes to jumping from one person to another - it is a long jumper. \n\n“Take it very, very seriously, follow the guidelines that NSW Health and the New South Wales government established. We are all in this together, but we want to get out of it together, safe and sound we need to take it very seriously'.\n Looking forward to you ripping into Mr Hazzard for that comment like you did when it was first spoken of in Victoria. Oh yeah, propaganda not news at every stage with Sky. Bullshit Which country is it representing in the Olympics?
