A spate of brawling and attacks since Tuesday have resulted in several students requiring hospital treatment and minor injuries to a vice-principal.

A student has been stabbed and another slashed with a Stanley knife in new and separate incidents to come to light in an already-violent week in Victorian schools.

In one of the latest incidents to emerge, a student at Mooroopna Secondary College, in the state's north-east, was assaulted and stabbed in the leg on Thursday by another young person who is alleged to have intruded on to school grounds. The rolling brawl, involving as many as 20 students, sent the school into lockdown for at least half an hour, with Snapchat video showing students taking cover under their desks.

An Education Department spokeswoman pointed to the Government's $8.9 million Protective Schools Package, which includes a new incident support and operations centre, as evidence it was taking action to keep schools safe.

'I respectfully dissent': Why one judge wanted to quash George Pell's convictionsWhen the Victorian Court of Appeal upheld George Pell's historical child abuse convictions on Wednesday, the decision was not unanimous. Here's why. Australian Court is farce sentanced Cardinal Pell without any meterial and real evidence what happen 20 years aggo, only statement of two dubious witnesses and public hear say. Happy to be educated here on our legal system. why indeed; one would think a clear cut case would be unanimous...
