A 38-metre-long slide built to connect two streets in a Spanish town has been closed for investigation less than 24 hours after opening, due to reports of multiple injuries.Social media users have raised concerns over their experiences with the slideThe slide was built as a faster alternative to a 10-minute walk in the resort town of Estepona and was advertised by the local council as a method of travel for all ages.

Another social media user tweeted photos of bruises and scrapes which she said was from going down the slide, adding that she"flew 2 metres".The council of Estepona released a statement saying it had ordered a review of the slide, adding that the safety and approval of it had"been certified by the specialist installation company".
