The Australian arm of US accommodation giant Sentinel Real Estate has swooped on a Gold Coast site for its first foray into a build-to-rent development in Queensland.

Keith Lucas, managing director of Sentinel in Australia, said the BTR project at lots 5-8 Stadium Drive in Robina’s Stadium Village precinct, would bring much-needed choice for renters in Queensland. Sentinel is one of the world’s biggest operators of BTR dwellings, known in the US as multi-family. Sentinel manages more than $14 billion of real estate assets, including more than 27,500 rental apartments.Its plans in Australia have accelerated quickly following its initial investment in Perth. Its local arm, Sentinel Fund Manager Australia, has more than 1300 BTR units under various stages of development.to create a $1.
