The Roosters have no plans to abandon their home ground at the SCG as Sydney prepares to play host to six interstate AFL clubs.

Hawthorn, Collingwood, Melbourne, Geelong, Gold Coast and the Brisbane Lions will all be based in Sydney at times during the next month as the AFL tries to keep its competition afloat as COVID-19 cases rise in Melbourne.

Trent Robinson's side is scheduled to host the Gold Coast Titans on August 1 and Melbourne on August 13. Meanwhile, the 16 NRL club chief executives discussed on Friday the need to lower expectations – and profit margins – as crowds return to games.
