Greens MP Michael Berkman says the Queensland election campaign is about ordinary people versus mining billionaires and vested interests.

Mr Berkman is set to retain his seat of Maiwar which encompasses inner western suburbs of Brisbane.

“People like what they’re hearing from the Greens,” he told Sky News. “They’re making their voices heard.”

Western Australia to relax border restrictions to all states | Sky News AustraliaWestern Australia Premier Mark McGowan has announced the lifting of his state's borders to residents from the rest of the nation, instead opting for a new controlled interstate border and set of protocols for travellers deemed 'very low risk' and 'low risk'.\n\n'The existing hard border exemption system will be removed and replaced with a controlled interstate border regime, established on an updated, nationwide, health-based threshold,' Mr McGowan said.\n\n'The Chief Health Officer has recommended a 14-day rolling average of less than five community cases in each state and territory... this threshold is currently being achieved in all jurisdictions across the country.'\n\nFrom November 14, travellers deemed 'very low-risk' for COVID-19 - from SA, NT, ACT, Tas and Qld - would be permitted to enter WA if they undergo a health screening and temperature test upon arrival.\n\nThey would also need to be prepared to undergo a COVID-19 test if necessary and fill out a G2G declaration form.\n\nResidents from NSW and Vic - deemed low risk - would be required to comply with the same conditions but would also need to take a mandatory COVID-19 test, self-isolate for 14-days and present for a second COVID-19 test on the eleventh day of isolation.\n\n Polls must be turning?
