Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has confirmed another 450 new cases of coronavirus and 11 new deaths, taking the total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic to 181. The Premier said there were 66 new ‘mystery cases’, bringing the total number of cases which had stumped contact tracers to 2454.

“That’s 66 additional mystery numbers that we can’t find the source for or circumstance behind that infection,” he said. Mr Andrews said ADF personnel and health officers doorknocked another 1150 homes yesterday, and 1000 were home and 150 were not. He said there were an estimated 500 people cumulatively who were found not at home while under isolation orders. He said every single one of them was referred to Victoria Police for further investigation.

DanielAndrewsMP A death rate/Vic population of 0.0027%! It's causing me to hide under the bed! Let's hand out cyanide pills for the hyper-panicked! ScottMorrisonMP PKelly_CBR BTW There were 1,100 influenza deaths in Australia in 2017; over 900 in 2019....did we shut down the country then?

DanielAndrewsMP Don't even know why anyone even bothers anymore. It's clear that due to the 'dissidents' narrative (fake), further restrictions are planned. Key word is 'planned'. How do I know? Just ask Dickhead to address what Operation Lockstep is. But he won't. Coz he knows.

Jim's Mowing workers are not cleared to breach health orders: Andrews | Sky News AustraliaPremier Daniel Andrews has declared Jim’s Mowing to be a non-essential service in response to the gardening business founder’s vow to keep on mowing amid Victoria’s stage four lockdown. \n\n“They are not permitted workers,” Mr Andrews said.\n\n“Unless of course they are providing emergency work. Lawns are not getting mowed, people are not getting haircuts, we are all making sacrifices. I'm not in anyway wanting to diminish the pain and challenge for that business and those workers.'\n\nPremier Andrews said if Jim’s Mowing founder Jim Penman breached health orders it would become a 'matter for Victoria Police'.\n\nMr Penman vowed to defy Victoria’s strict lockdown orders and keep his business running, telling his employees he would pay their fines if they were caught operating.\n\nMr Penman said it was unlikely however that it would come to fining as he claimed continuing to operate his business was not disobeying the law as the law itself remained unclear. \n\n“This is really tough and I take no pleasure in having to make these really difficult calls but if I don’t make this decisions we won’t drive down the number of people moving around the community and we won’t drive down the number of cases and indeed the number of people who are dying,” the Premier said. \n\n“Lawns are not getting mown, people are not getting haircuts, we are all making sacrifices.\n\nHe said the matter of responding to employees who continued to work would be left to Victoria Police. \n\n“Short of not following the advice of our experts this is the only option we have,” he said. \n Give the idiot some jail time. Oh, poo! Who still uses them? Overpriced and a terrible business model for franchisees unless they are ok with ripping people off....

Lockdown to help Premier Andrews delay shouldering responsibility for Vic crisis | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Paul Murray says Premier Daniel Andrews’ strategy is to delay taking responsibility for the COVID-19 crisis for as long as he possibly can.\n\nAs the six-week lockdown pushes back the inquiry report, the Premier will continue to avoid the difficult questions regarding his government's role in allowing the outbreak to spread so rapidly, he said. \n\nBy the time the inquiry conclusions are released into the public space, Victorians will be prepared “to kiss the ring of the very captor who made the decisions to impose a six-week lockdown upon the coronavirus-ridden state,' Mr Murray said.\n\nImage: Getty\n Hard to argue. JM and MP given cover. Perhaps Mr Murray could approach Mr Sharma MP to put pressure on WHO to conduct an independent investigation. He says a lot of things though

Brisbane refugee protesters 'putting the lives of innocent people at risk' | Sky News AustraliaQueensland Health Minister Steven Miles has issued an unwavering warning to protesters planning to rally for refugee rights in Brisbane tomorrow. \n\n“To people who are concerned about the treatment of refugees, I understand your concern, I appreciate your concern, however your concern is with decisions of the federal government, not with Queenslanders whose health could be put at risk if these protests go ahead,” he said. \n\nMr Miles said if Queensland continued to record zero cases of community transmission this weekend, the chief health officer would lift restrictions on aged care visits. \n\n“That’s what’s at stake here; whether hundreds of Queenslanders can have their families visit them in their nursing homes or not,” he said. \n\n“The decision to breach health directions and put that at risk is not selfless, it is selfish. \n\n“They should not think for a moment that they are part of one of the world’s great protest movements, those protesters put their own lives at risk, not the lives of others or the lives of innocent people.” \n\nMr Miles said the government would not allow protesters to proceed tomorrow. \n\nQueensland Police also warned officers would fine anyone caught breaching health directions by protesting. \n\nImage: AP StevenJMiles Victoria has it worse than refugees StevenJMiles What is wrong with these idiots StevenJMiles
