Last year she stole almost 4,000 items of mail between May and July, some of which held driver's licences, credit cards, Medicare cards and other important documents. Half of the items were discovered buried in the Tuart Forest National Park by a Capel resident who was walking in the area at the time.
Dickason's defence lawyer, Ian Macfarlane, said that she had been going through a breakup involving domestic violence and drugs at the time the offences were committed.The state prosecutor, Sean Dworcan, said Dickason not only damaged the trust of her community but had also "deceived her mother and sister" who employed her.
