, something the company has previously said is part of the reason it can offer such low prices.
“I went in for three items once. And the lady said the same to me and I laughed at her,” a third added. Many people agreed with the woman saying for just 10 items, a trolley isn’t warranted. Picture: Facebook/AldiMumsSource:Facebook “I know this because I used to work there. If you want express lines, trolleys without coins and everything else you all whinge about go to Coles or Woolworths … simple really.”
I've been using a granny little shopping cart at ALDI for years. No mucking around with coins. For a frequent little pensioners shop works fine. Wheel it to car and straight into the house. Why don't ALDI sell these shopping carts with all the other junk in the middle aisles.
Cannot believe it’s worthy for publishing. Better stories out there. Aldi saves you money now you decide what you want to do
Aldi are a discount supermarket and run a super efficient model to bring low prices. I’m happy to pay more and go to Coles to get great customer service. I go to Aldi occasionally for bargains and happily get a trolley and expect no service. Their team are trained for efficiency.
Good on the Aldi employee I personally hate waiting on people fumbling with bags as well as people with half full trolleys in the self checkouts
ALDI should truly check this out fast! Some of those at the register need to be in the front line fighting COVID in China😳 Too rough and throwing not fast and efficient! Ppl go there to save and be served!
Hilarious the snobbery on display here. Aldi supports local business with a better Aust made ratio of products compared to the other two. Only ever had one product that was worse then the brand name, the rest far better. Oh yeah and follow the rules and quick your inane bitching
Aldi is all about speed and efficiency, nothing new here. If you can load them into your bag before the next customers items are thrown into the loading zone then you're fine. Quit complaining on social media about every little thing.
The staff at the Aldi stores we frequent are super-friendly and helpful. Using a trolley does make it quicker. A solution would be for Aldi to have some smaller trolleys similar to those Cokes etc have.
She should have a performance review seeing as she now works at the store. Possibly get HR involved. Tell the guy to pipe down and load groceries at your own pace. Sick of this perfection age we live in.
Amazing how you can never win!!! I used to serve for coles and my customers was not happy they way I put they groceries in they bag. I serve for Aldi and customers are not happy packing their own bags... get a life.. there is a reason why Aldi has a big bench.
Imagine your life is so fulfilled that this is the greatest annoyance and frustration of your day. Billions don’t eat enough each day. She should be ashamed!
Love all the people jumping on twitter to declare they never shop at Aldi. Good, don't clutter the joint up because I DO shop there. Please go to Colesworth, my super fund has shares there.
I totally agree. Had a similar experience yesterday with the gestapo checkout chick. Slamming my groceries through in double quick time then demanding to check my handbag, which I threw at her!! aldicheckout
Soup kitchen episode
Just need shopping baskets , why are aldi trying to bei so annoying
That’s one of the reasons I don’t shop at Aldi! Life is a rush, grocery shopping is one of the few chores where I slow down!
If the checkout operator annoys you just walk out when they're midway through scanning your stuff and go elsewhere. Personally I go elsewhere because Aldi products are shit
I remember once at Aldi in Adelaide, check out guy was absolutely rude slow too. Never gone there again. Have been once in Canberra city, but since the first experience, nooo Aldi is not for me!
ALDIAustralia this seems to be a fuck you message... yes open more registers
Advert.
Heated trolley debate? I was thinking my icecream will melt if they heat the trolleys. Doh!
I never shop at Aldi, I'd rather pay extra & not be rushed through the registers, I like having my shopping packed for me. This is what this lady should do, if she doesn't like their rules.
They definitely need a register for 12 items or less.
Thems the rules of Aldi, free to shop elsewhere
Offended much? Maybe she was ridiculously slow packing her bags.
Don’t like it, don’t go. Simple really 🤷🏻♂️
RitaPanahi check this out.
So instead of just getting a trolley next time you decide to have a sook about it .
Fascinating
Getting upset what a cashier aka checkout chick/boy says probably reveals more about her life than anything else. Aldi is not known for providing quality customer service; it trades that off so they can have lower prices. Simple reply of 'noted' would suffice and then disregard
Support you local IGA or independent supermarket instead ..
McAfee Webadviser said your site is malicous. I dont' believe it but thought I'd tell ya...
you get what you pay for in this world so i refuse to shop at aldi
And I did a massive shop at ALDI last week and asked the cashier if she could slow down so I can catch up. She did and we had a good laugh about it...
