Police officers have had a narrow escape from injury after a vehicle drove through the site an earlier crash on a majorOfficers were investigating the earlier incident on the Eastern Freeway involving an allegedly stolen car when a silver Mercedes smashed into a police vehicle.For more Travel related news and videos check out“It narrowly missed several police members - it was a really, really close call,” Melbourne Divisional Commander Acting Superintendent Troy Papworth said.

About 12 minutes later as police were investigating the scene, a silver Mercedes drove through the crash site and smashed into a police car.Credit:“Police attempted to get that vehicle to slow down, which it hasn’t - that vehicle has then travelled through the crime scene and collided with a police car,” Papworth said.
