Police powers have been ramped up again in Greater Sydney to enforce harsh new curfew, travel and mask measures.

It comes after police launched ‘Operation Stay At Home’ on Monday August 16 with police and ADF forces deployed to enforce strict exercise, travel and real estate rules.

Power for the Commissioner of Police to declare a residential premise a COVID-risk premise and require all people to present to police during compliance checks “This is all about stopping the transmission of the virus from the areas of concern,” the NSW Police Commissioner said. NSW Police and the more than 100-strong ADF reinforcement will also be enforcing the harsh new restrictions announced by the NSW Premier on Friday.

Great, that’s going to help mental health.

What a f*** ng nightmare. Destruction of society before our eyes .

Almost fully vaccinated Israel, UK and Iceland failed. There are sharp increases in deaths and infection. Will Australia follow them? People are asked if allergic to nuts, but promoted every one to roll up for a premature risky vaccine! Any logic? Who takes the responsibilities?

Time to rise up Australians…there is no science or common sense to these measures. Nothing sensible at all. It’s all just hysterica, theatre and fear for self serving, incompetent Lib and Lab governments. 100,000 is all it takes in each city. Remember next years elections too

I cannot believe us taxpayers pay for these muppets making these decisions yes I'm talking about you GladysB BradHazzard

Welcome to Gladistan

Good point from a Malaysia bloke..Death of Human

Ramped to counter the right wing media encouraging, emboldening and supporting civil disobedience and breaches of Health Rules

You can’t enforce this virus away smh

So, how is this virus more virulent after 9PM? Please clarify GladysB

I would hate to be GladysB come the next election if she lasts that long

In a liberal (note small l) these activities should never occur. Doubly so when the Police Commissioner likes strip searching kids and believes the public should have a “little bit of fear” when dealing with the cops.

Cute joke 🤡

Police fine couple behind illegal engagement party during Melbourne’s lockdownA couple who hosted an illegal party to celebrate their engagement during Melbourne's sixth coronavirus lockdown have been fined, along with the bride-to-be's parents. And IM sure despite the fine they are glad they went ahead with it, dont let some silly fines stop you from living your life the way you want. I once had 12,500 of fines paid it off on SPER at 5 month after 10yrs they wiped most of the debt! I don't think the Taliban could do a worse job than Daniel Andrews with his ideologized police force. Perhaps we should consider joining a growing Caliphate.
