Penalty notices issued by NSW Police have spiked alarmingly alongside COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

Police Deputy Commissioner Gary Worboys expressed disappointment at the high number of people penalised for leaving their house"without a good reason".

He said police had not adopted a “tick in the box” approach and had caught people breaching home quarantine restrictions after returning to check the same area twice in the same day. The 21-day crackdown was announced on Saturday with increased penalties and random checkpoints to be set up around New South Wales.

New South Wales recorded an extraordinary record-breaking leap in COVID-19 cases with 633 new infections on Wednesday – the majority emerging from western Sydney.

Most NSW COVID cases occur in householdsThe people aint go do shit about it either. I think people glodally love being enslaved and ruled. Need to know and understand, the UK scenario. As more gets vaccinated they may also become asymptomatic and unknowingly spread covid to rest of population. With this there is no more such thing as zero case anymore from now onwards. Good news is death will be relatively low. What happened to specialised COVID quarantine facilities for NSW. Did Scott Morrison forget? Like he forgot to order the vaccines. He only had two jobs and he forgot to do both.
