Police chasing IDs of three people after anti-lockdown protests

Thousands of "selfish" protesters sprawled across the CBD, chanting "free Victoria" and lighting flares on the steps of parliament to oppose the state's last lockdown."Police are aware of several incidents where the flares were set off which endangered not only police but people in the vicinity of the incidents," police said.

She was seen wearing a blue puffer jacket.Assistant Commissioner Luke Cornelius at the time said he was disappointed to see "so many people blatantly disregard the Chief Health Officer directions putting the health of Victorians at risk".

"We will not stand by while selfish people deliberately choose to put every Victorian at further risk of the spread of the highly contagious and dangerous Delta variant," he said.
