During the flying visit, Mr Morrison also attempted to thaw relations with Beijing, speaking with China's Premier Li Keqiang on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit. The primary aim of the summit was for world leaders to come to an agreement on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreement, which is set to cover 30 per cent of global gross domestic product and nearly half the world's population.
