Second helicopter pilot did an ‘amazing’ job at landing under circumstancesAviation Expert Keith Tonkin says that the pilot of the second helicopter in the Gold Coast crash did an “amazing” job at landing under circumstances. “Seeing the front of that helicopter after it had that damage, you can see there was just a bundle of wires sticking out the front of the instrument panel,” Mr Tonkin told Sky News host James Morrow. “Very likely that he would not have had all the information … that you normally rely on to safely land the helicopter. “So, to innovate his way through what was happening and be able to land that aircraft in those circumstances is truly amazing.”
