13/04/2019Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton is under fire over comments he made about the Labor candidate for Dickson, Ali France. Mr Dutton has accused Ms France, who is an amputee, of using her disability 'as an excuse' for not moving into the electorate.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has come out in defence of the Home Affairs Minister, saying he didn't believe Mr Dutton using the Labor candidate's disability as the basis of a political attack, arguing the comments had been 'taken out of context'. Opposition leader Bill Shorten has put pressure on Mr Morrison, saying he should 'make his colleague apologise'.
