OPINION: Dutton underestimates himself and the perks of a Chinese lunch with a minister

"Scott Morrison is the Prime Minister, and you can't wave this off and say it is all part of gossip and the bubble," Mr Turnbull said."All the same issues have arisen again and this has to be addressed at the highest level of security, priority, urgency by the Prime Minister.

Mr Turnbull is not an objective voice when it comes to Mr Dutton, who instigated the events that ended in the political demise of the former PM. On Monday Duncan Lewis, head of ASIO, told a Senate estimates hearing"the threat from foreign interference and foreign espionage in Australia is running at […] an unprecedented level."

Most pertinently, the lunch highlights the insidious power of the lobbying industry in today's Canberra.

Where is the reporting on Bill Shorten? He even attended the Billionaires daughters wedding? ITS CALLED BALANCE PEOPLE.

How many hours did the ABC dedicate to this yesterday? Ellen Fanning almost fell off her chair, dismayed in disbelief, a minister could dare have lunch with a foreign businessman. The news story is; Biggest Political Hypocrite wants to be PM. And it's an ABC whitewash

Bill Shorten attended Huang Xiangmo's daughter Carina's wedding in January 2016

Donations to political parties should be prohibited. Period. Parties to be financed by taxpayer proportional to last primary vote

Dear ABC, the same Chinese person (Huang) paid Bill Shorten $55,000 to have lunch with him. Awkward.

Smug Slimy back stabbing Ass PeterDutton_MP needs to get out of Parliament ASAP and hopefully the Australian voters will foot him out the door very very soon🤔👍

POOROPINION

That lunch was worth millions & millions in China irrespective of outcome. Australian politicians & staffers are totally gullible to China as they fail to understand the internal Chinese political class nor culture. We can only hope ASIO are watching our inept politicians.

No mention of Bill's lunch/dinner with Huang?
