A Chinese billionaire reportedly paid a lobbyist tens of thousands of dollars in exchange for a one-on-one meeting with Peter Dutton.

Huang Xiangmo was campaigning for Australian citizenship when he had lunch with then-immigration minister Peter Dutton, as organized by former Liberal minister Santo Santoro.

Both Mr Dutton and Mr Santoro deny citizenship was discussed at the lunch. Mr Huang’s citizenship was ultimately denied by ASIO due to his links to the Chinese Community Party.
