The child was hospitalised on March 12 with brain injuries after an incident at a property in Girrawheen, a suburb in the city's north, WA Police said in a statement.

WA Police said the incident occurred at a property in Girrawheen, a suburb in the city's north earlier this month.He is scheduled to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today where his charge will be upgraded to murder.
