Australia to reduce flights from India by 30 per cent | Sky News AustraliaThe Morrison government will begin to limit the amount of flights for returning Australians coming from India, and will reduce chartered flights from India into the Northern Territory by 30 per cent.\n\nPrime Minister Scott Morrison spoke following the conclusion of the National Cabinet meeting and said the state and territory leaders considered the “emerging and important issue” of returning Australian residents and citizens from high risk countries.\n\nThe prime minister said the Commonwealth will reduce the chartered flights from India into the NT by 30 per cent, and will also reduce direct flights from India to Sydney – the only location which takes direct flights – by 30 per cent “over the course of this week”.\n\n“What we have agreed to do, and this particularly relates to the chartered services we're running into the Northern Territory, we will be reducing by some 30 per cent the numbers coming through our chartered services in the months ahead,' Mr Morrison said.\n\nThe Morrison government will also look to list four countries as high-risk locations, which will be announced and implemented over the next week.\n “Number of flights” NOT “amount of flights” Excellent Aussie jobs have a chance then.
