Perth breaks two weather records after four days of searing temperatures across Western Australia.

The temperature hit 40.4 degrees today — the hottest November day since records began in 1897.

It was also the fourth consecutive day over 35 degrees which is only the second time it has happened in November. The last time was in 1933."Basically there's a high in the bight, a very broad surface trough down the west coast, [and] a hot air mass over the state," he said."It's the hottest November day since records began in 1897, and it's also the hottest spring day since 1897.

But Mr Vink said the stifling temperatures were not expected to last long, with a cool change on the way as early as tomorrow."We're getting down to 29 [tomorrow] and essentially temperatures below 30 or the remainder of the week."

It is Summer and they even had 36 Degrees in Britain. And Australians all scoffed about it. Yet Australian's never stop talking about themselves the weather or sport and how wonderful they are.

Hey ABC why don't you do some real research, I just seen on radar in the Brisbane area clouds being stopped from forming WTF is going on, these fires n lack of rain is being forced on the country, these politicians have sold us out!

It is W E A T H E R !

Yay global warming

australian smh Those stupid ignorant Liberal & National Party politicians will continue to deny that climate is happening. They are like those who centuries ago would not believe the earth was round even thought Columbus had circumvented the earth.

It was a good day in Perth I love the heat next week it will be unseasonably cool and I'll be able to deal with that too

To be seen in the responses; Random 'Conservatives' who don't have any qualifications in the matter that think their opinion and Andrew Bolt's opinion matters more than the entire scientific literature consensus since the 1980s that has proven the existence of climate change.

Not so fast Perth station today Max T 39.9°C Record is 40.3°C (24/11/1913) Longest heatwave is 8 days in 1915 2nd longest - 5 days in 1887. Back before the ClimateEmergency Bolt_RSS SkyNewsAust

So in 1903 it was 40.3 c on the 24th of November, (which you missed in your article) and today it was 40.4 c. And the next 7 days in Perth are , 28, 29, 25, 21, 24, 25 & 25 degrees Celsius, once again it's what is not reported that counts folks.
