, saying the move was “not about personalities” but the need for a new direction to improve the state’s natural disaster response.

Department of Planning and Environment Secretary Mick Cassel has been appointed acting chief executive officer of the new agency while the Public Service Commission undertakes a competitive recruitment process. Perrottet on Friday said there were always “different opinions when it comes to these matters” but his priority was responding to any recommendations that would improve the disaster response.“Ultimately, we’ve gone through a very difficult time with natural disasters in the state, from droughts to bushfires, to floods. My job as premier is to make sure we do the work ... and we’ve done that through the Fuller-O’Kane report,” he said.

'Nation's father' Shane Fitzsimmons dropped from disaster recovery bodyThe former NSW Rural Fire Service commissioner is axed by the government after heavy criticism of Resilience NSW's response to the flood emergency earlier this year. You bloody fools, this is political rubbish, Shane is an amazing man to have on board in any emergency, many people are grateful to him for his excellent work ethic, his strength and organisational skills. Disgusting. When is the next election coming ? typical - the normal _actually helpful_ 'aussies' doing real work of Australia for Australia get scapegoated while the blithering timewasting attention suckers carry-on embarrassing themselves & every resident of our bless-ed land down under 😓🤦‍♀️🫣 Shameful treatment of a wonderful man.

'You don't need lots of money': NSW government schools punch above their weight in HSC resultsSarah Maikari and Will Cassell credit hard work and supportive teachers for their first-in-course HSC results, awarded in a ceremony at the University of NSW. They are among the 65,317 students receiving their full results today. so 56% were from Govt Schools and had 42% distinguished achievers. 44% were from Independent Schools and had 57% distinguished achievers. I think the heading should be 'Independent Schools Punch above their weight'. More religious bashing from ABC. He also states that you need passionate teachers. Good luck finding them in the future as no one studies teaching anymore. Even private schools are struggling to staff their schools. Punch above their weight? WTF does that even mean? That public schools and teachers and the students that attend them are some how second rate?
