Premier announces $200 million towards NSW flood responseNew South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet has announced a $200 million boost to the state's flood response efforts. A large portion will go to buying high clearance vehicles, with $12 million set aside for voluntary training. Mr Perrottet called it a citizen’s army, saying “there were many members of the community that would have liked to have had the opportunity to just do some basic training … they might own a ‘tinnie’, they can go out and help with rescues”. Is this boost a promise? Or a fact? Will this fix infrastructure, provide housing and provide relief? Giving NSW people their money back to help them recover. Well, it ain't coming out of his own pocket. Amazing, that would nearly relocate 200 people to none flood effected areas.
