Liberal Senator James Paterson says he is pleased with the Albanese government’s decision to list Ansar Allah, also known as the Houthis, as a terrorist organisation under the criminal code.

James Paterson has welcomed the government’s decision to formally list the Houthis as a terrorist organisation but questioned what “took so long,” given the group ramped up its attacks on Red Sea shipping at the start of the year.
