A Perth police officer who tasered a driver during a random breath test in Fremantle is found guilty of common assault.

But he was issued with a vehicle defect notice for modifications he had made to his Jeep Wrangler.

The court heard once Mr Bartlett had passed the breath test he had flashed his lights, causing Senior Constable Keenan to approach his car and try to remove the keys from the ignition. A mobile phone video taken by his passenger showed Mr Bartlett then being tasered as he sat in the driver's seat with his seatbelt on.

The police officer was charged with two counts of common assault. He admitted to tasering the man but denied it was unlawful.

Police internal investigations are not for finding guilt. They exist to protect the police force and the commissioner. Unless they don't like the officer in question and are looking to get rid of them anyway. Funny how they don't like being recorded....

I don't believe it What a surprise.

Police force does not need officers like him out in public. Give him a permanent admin job or terminate his employment. I have been generous with 2 choices.....

Unfortunately, the American disease has spread to Australia where law enforcement thugs think they are above the law. The female cop was pathetic and should be prosecuted for perverting the course of justice.

Holy shit them cops are crazy, three investigations found no wrong doing?

Good.

How did the first three investigations determine this was standard protocol? Someone needs to review the internal investigations unit.

FTP Worldwide

'was cleared of any wrongdoing by three earlier internal police investigations.'

There are too many cowboy police officers out on the streets.

'Holding our breath': Trump's trade war with China gets real for businesses, consumersIt's spring in New York: cherry blossoms in bloom, sunbathers in Central Park, memories of sub-zero temperatures drifting away on the breeze. The time of year, in other words, when people typically decide to buy a bike I have old footage of kids in Central Park, it’s a documentary called, surprisingly, “New York”. Can’t wait to visit. This is about long term strategy and structure, just like it was in the 1980s.
