The NSW Education Department has not placed an order for any air purification devices despite conceding they may be necessary for some indoor spaces when students return next month

The NSW classroom audit has ramped up in the school holidays and is collecting information about window sizes, air conditioning units and fans across the state’s 156,000 learning spaces ahead of theThere are 82,000 spaces left to inspect – expected by the end of next week – and the audit results will determine whether the department then takes steps to procure air purifiers or filters, which are being used in several jurisdictions overseas as well as in Victoria.

“But our focus at the minute is ensuring that the natural ventilation, which we have been advised is the most effective solution, is accessible in as many of our learning spaces as possible. Where it isn’t, we will have alternative solutions in place.” Ms Harrisson defended the department’s progress. “It is important that we see what we need, and what the specifications are of any purifiers we would need... we are not going to pre-order solutions here that may not be effective in our settings,” she said.

Absolutely DISGRACEFUL!

COVID-positive truck driver from NSW sparks virus concern in WA and SAA truck driver who travelled through both South Australia and Western Australia has sparked a COVID-19 scare after testing positive for the virus upon his return to New South Wales. If we can't get transport workers vaccinated how can we stop Covid spreading? NSW is a Covid disaster zone. Something needs to be done about all these infected truck drivers. If vaccines should be mandated in any industry, its this. If they are & so many are still getting infected, it doesn't bode well for our future & makes a mockery of vaxx passports
