A proposal to give West Australian police the power to ban people from entertainment precincts sparks concerns over whether the 'populist' move is being pursued without enough evidence to show it will reduce violence.

They will also have to believe that person being in the precinct could cause violence or public disorder or impact the safety of others."This is what's not being talked about in this state, again and again, is more powers are being put in the hands of a very small number of people.
