The New York mayor said an 'atmosphere of hate' has developed and that the 'forces of hate have been unleashed'.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio on Monday decried a"crisis" of anti-Semitism in the United States after"We consider this a crisis," Mr de Blasio said in an interview with NPR radio."There is a growing anti-Semitism problem in this whole country.Police work at the home of a rabbi in Monsey, New York after a man entered the house and stabbed multiple people who were there for a Hanukkah gathering.

"Some of that has to do with the reality of Washington," he said."Some of it has to do with social media."Mr De Blasio announced a series of measures to tackle the problem, including an intensified police presence in Jewish communities of New York, additional security cameras and multi-ethnic community safety patrols.

"We have made it a habit when the Jewish community is attacked anywhere in the world to reinforce key Jewish community locations in New York City," he said."But we're doing it now on a much bigger scale, particularly in Brooklyn, where the most important vulnerabilities are." I am directing State Police to increase patrols and security in Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods across New York State.

Last night's attack in Monsey was an act of domestic terrorism that sought to incite hate and generate fear. We will not tolerate it.

Anti-Semitic attacks mar Hanukkah celebrations in New York and LondonHanukkah celebrations on both sides of the Atlantic have been marred by anti-Semitic attacks, one on a rabbi's home in New York and another at a London synagogue and surrounding shops. 'referencing a debunked conspiracy theory implicating Jews in the 9/11 terror attacks.' Yeah, everyone knows it was 'Zionists' who perpetrated 9/11, not Jews. History repeating it's self. I'm old enough to remember when TheirABC Leftards blamed these hate crimes on right-wing white extremists.

Fire authorities give Sydney's New Year's Eve fireworks the green lightSydney's annual fireworks spectacular is slated to go ahead as planned despite a total fire ban and risky conditions which forced other areas including Parramatta to ditch their festivities. it should be cancelled and the millions spent on it going to bushfire and drought relief. Incredibly irresponsible and thoughtless to continue with it 'Total' fire ban, 40+°C temperatures, increasingly limited number of viewing points/more crowding, thousands of excitable, high-spirited people milling around - but the $how must go on. Pigheaded!

Sydney's New Year's Eve fireworks to go ahead, some suburbs cancelledThe RFS has forecast 'severe' fire danger for greater Sydney on Tuesday and declared a total fire ban for the region. Operators wishing to undertake fireworks displays in a total fire ban must apply for an exemption. Don’t play with fire kiddies Sydney fireworks will go ahead no matter what. The optics of the cancellation would show this government’s lack of action and lack of policy on climate change to the world. It would shame them no end. Our ScottFromMarketing won’t let that happen full stop And if something goes pair shaped?
