A special report by the dailytelegraph indicates Prime Minister ScottMorrisonMP is being 'outgunned' by Opposition leader billshortenmp with the election campaign's sponsored ad posts on social media.

FULL INTERVIEW: A special report by the Daily Telegraph indicates Prime Minister Scott Morrison is being 'outgunned' by Opposition leader Bill Shorten with the election campaign's sponsored ad posts on social media. News Corp Political Reporter Claire Bickers says the Labor leader has 20 posts on Facebook which have been 'boosted' to reach a wider audience while Mr Morrison only has 13, some of which have been running since January.

Experts predict a notable part of the campaign battle will be fought on social media platforms, suggesting the negative campaigns will be largely based online. Ms Bickers says analysis of the leader's online platforms shows Mr Morrison pitching himself to middle Australia as a 'family man', while Mr Shorten appears to be 'removing himself' from his social media campaigns, instead opting to 'focus more on policy than himself'.
