A Labor Government would put $125 million more into cancer research, with Bill Shorten continuing his campaign on health spending as he hit the hustings in Sydney. The funding promise will include $20 million to research pancreatic cancer, which has a five year survival rate of less than 10 per cent.

Mr Shorten was campaigning in the Liberal-held seat of Bennelong on Friday with the Party's candidate and former Australian Medical Association president Brian Owler.
