Prime Minister Scott Morrison has signalled there will be more money in the federal budget to fix the deadly aged care crisis as he fights off accusations his government has not done enough to save lives

Senator Colbeck had stumbled over the question of the number of deaths for almost a minute before a public servant stepped in to tell the hearing that 254 aged care residents and four home care recipients had died in Victoria.

Mr Morrison said there would be more money in the federal budget in October to deal with the findings by the royal commission into aged care. "There are other issues that regardless of a pandemic, that we would need to continue to address. And then there are the COVID additional measures that will be further undoubtedly required."If there's one thing I've learnt during this pandemic is it ain’t over until it's over. And it's, it ain’t over yet. And that means we will continue to provide the resource and the support and meet the needs that need to be met.

Its not money you turd..its a level of planning and interest from your godforsaken govt to make the whole system work properly!

He signals a lot of things. In fact, he'd make a pretty good signalman.

In comparison to ANDREWS Morrison is the greatest politician in history

Handout you gave 750 .. lousy .. that goes nowhere .. the rise we get when we get it is a joke an insult .. $3 extra a fortnight ..

Who actually will touch the cash?

DonWestley1 Another big announcement. Aged care will probably get this funding sometime between now and never, just like bush fire relief, etc. You are all talk Scomo, but sadly no action

Something has to make us start caring for the aged; it might as well be death.

PassTheBuck ScottyFromMarketting I can't believe anything he says.

Has Scomo seen the slop they feed the elderly? Forget about deaths associated with Covid19. Its the dog food they’re feeding them that is relative to the mortality rate.

'Accusations' = Facts auspol ausFRAUD ScottyFromMarketing

There is no deadly aged care crisis, 100% of the people in those pest holes are there to die

Here we go again. Another media fail. Slippery Scott makes another announcement to deflect & hide behind. All he ever does. In what job does someone survive by just making announcements & blaming others rather than urgently responding to a crisis? WTF is wrong with you people?

Dementia?

Yeah, Morrison is always flagging solutions. The problem is always in the detail, the fine print that causes the payments to evaporate like a mirage and leaves you dying in the desert.

Aged Care Minister admits weaknesses in handling of COVID-19Aged Care Minister Richard Colbeck has conceded the federal government was responsible for infection control in aged care and said 'we haven't got everything perfectly right' | Dana_Adele Dana_Adele That's what's called an understatement. Dana_Adele Remember, this bloke lost his Senate seat in 2016. He is only back in the Senate due to Senator Parry being caught up in the eligibility scandal. He's there by default. And he's certainly not ministerial material. The hearing is absolute evidence of that. Dana_Adele Appears he didn't get anything right.
