Speaking from the US via video link, Novy Chardon's former lover tells a Supreme Court murder trial he was not angry after they broke up in 2012.

Mr Chardon's defence barrister Tony Kimmins asked if Ms Chardon had been"effectively stalking" him after they broke up, which he denied.Mr Talaei-Khoei replied:"I don't really get angry ... I'm a calm guy."

The court heard Mr Talaei-Khoei went home sick from his job on the Sunshine Coast at 4:00pm on February 6, the day Ms Chardon went missing. The defence team told jurors Mr Talaei-Khoei took the rest of the week off work because he"was really sick with the flu" and did not answer his mobile phone or make a call for two days.Mr Talaei-Khoei said security cameras and reception at his apartment would have recorded him coming and going from the property over that period. The court heard police spoke to Mr Talaei-Khoei about Ms Chardon's disappearance on February 10.

Mr Talaei-Khoei told officers it was not the first time Ms Chardon had gone missing, and that she had previously been out of contact for about a week before coming back.

WARNING: Graphic content. This is why people are very concerned about the idea of bringing ISIS brides & brats back into Australia, because they know they will not all stay under sufficient surveillance & even if they were they could still 'snap' & become violent out of the blue if they are triggered. Sometimes you really do just hope for the best outcome in cases like his

'She put up a fight': Woman killed while fending off masked intruder, court toldMatthew Ross White pleads not guilty to the murder of Donna Steele, as the Supreme Court in Cairns hears her killing occurred when she fought back during an extortion bid. Probably would have been charged with assault if she had lived, knowing how these things go under our crappy laws, designed to protect criminals. Wouldn't it be great if she was permitted a firearm to protect herself.
