New South Wales Premier Chris Minns has backed the work of his police force in response to a rebuke from federal Opposition Leader Peter Dutton suggesting law enforcement had been a major driving force behind increasing anti-Semitism in Australia.

“I make a plea to keep the NSW Police out of the federal political fight. They do a great job, and we should all get behind them, it is an incredibly difficult job. The Opposition Leader argued if the police response to the incident had been stronger it would have deterred people from protesting in a similar fashion in the months following.
