Coming out of lockdown...with these results... ! 'Victoria has recorded 2,189 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases' ...'The new infections, from 77,036 tests, take the total number of active cases across the state to 23,230. '

UPDATE: Victoria has recorded 2,189 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases and 16 deaths.

Coming out of a lockdown with cases rising seems a bit counter intuitive

COVID19Vic auspol factscheck melbournelockdown does not end today !!! Dictatordan has done exactly the same trick as he did last year! ... Today can be at best called 'Easing restrictions' - Actual End of Lockdown will be hopefully over after the 6th of November !!! if that.

Not Freedom Day. Indoor retail and entertainment still closed, and masks must still be worn outside, even when metres away from others and it's stinking hot. That's not Freedom ☹️

And I'm guessing Melbournians will vote him back in as gratitude for a job well done.

This is factually incorrect. Melbourne's lockdown lasted 77 days. This lockdown was not 'the world's longest lockdown'. The lockdown in NSW lasted 100+ days. Please report factual information. auspol covid19vic

No doubt the changed vax requirement is recognition that alcohol and social distancing & other compliance measures don't mix. An infected hospo worker is able to infect many, many ppl in close sweaty proximity in pubs, clubs and bars. Sensible, necessary measure. It may as well be because of religion!
