One Australian state’s health department has been criticised for preventing the media from filming the first COVID-19 vaccinations given to two nurses.

Instead of allowing the media to film the process, the Health Department arranged its own camera operators and photographers to document the historic moment, then distributed it.

Premier Mark McGowan said he had requested “at length” and “forcefully” for the media to have access, but the medical advice determined it should be managed this way. Asked why WA’s doctors were different to elsewhere, Mr McGowan said it was a decision of the Health Department. Two nurses who received the COVID-19 vaccine in WA said they did not feel any pain. First Facebook stops people from seeing your BS now you didn't get to see nurses being injected so you lose on that ad revenue opportunity as well. You lot are a pack of whingers!!!! facebookmediaban Oh the me me me me set it's on fire lately. You want a tissue ?

Fair enough. Media turning this into a circus. Celebrate when it works.

Who can blame them after seeing the Scott circus on Sunday

Maybe those receiving the vaccine did not want the paparazzi style coverage. Don't you think they have a right of some privacy?.

Lol the master of border control prevents media from literally showing a help to prevent border control....🤷‍♀️

No confidence in it at all if they can’t show it being administered. Why are they hiding?

McGowan labels restriction-easing a 'tribute' to WA COVID-19 response | Sky News AustraliaPremier Mark McGowan says the rolling back of Western Australia's restrictions to other Commonwealth states is a 'tribute' to his state's coronavirus response, following little to no cases for months.\n\nFrom March 15, venues in Western Australia will return to 75 per cent capacity as the state removes its border measures to allow for a freer flow of travel.\n\nUnder the changes, international arrivals would increase to 900 people per week while Victoria would be downgraded to a 'very low risk' state, removing the need for 14 days of mandatory self-isolation.\n\nMr McGowan had earlier suggested border forces would remain stationed across the state's perimeter long-after the pandemic was over to ensure drug-smuggling did not resume.\n\n Well, when you're taking in very few International returns... 2 days after the state election... I can’t see anything more real than this.
