A man has been crushed after a heavy sheet of glass fell on top of him in a worksite accident.

Emergency services were called to Roberts Rd in Greenacre just after 2.30pm after receiving reports a man had been injured after a heavy sheet of glass fell on top of him at a worksite.

Four crews and a specialist medical team were sent to the scene and upon arrival treated a 67-year-old man for multiple injuries.The man was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition. NSW Ambulance Duty Operations Manager, Caitlyn Murphy, said paramedics worked quickly to treat the man. “Paramedics are always prepared for the worst, particularly when attending worksite incidents like this,” she said.“Paramedics did a great job getting there quickly and treating the man who had extensive injuries including serious head and shoulder injuries.”
