When Christina Heywood heard medical staff arguing with a patient down the hall over a positive coronavirus test, she was worried. The 74-year-old was lying in bed recovering from complications from a hip replacement - major surgery that is tough enough to get over without a deadly virus thrown into the mix.

"He was creating a bit of a fuss so I asked [staff] if I could leave and go home, I was a little bit scared. And they said no, just stay in your room and don't come out," she recalls. The ABC understands this is the first time staff realised COVID-19 had got into the Golf Links Road Rehabilitation Centre in Frankston in Melbourne's south-east.

PM to call for consistant border plan at National Cabinet today | Sky News AustraliaA border battle is continuing to bubble between the states as the Prime Minister seeks to create a more nationally consistent border plan at today's National Cabinet meeting.\n\nScott Morrison largely allowed states to determine what their border strategies would be as they worked to contain the spread of coronavirus, but frustration has grown among residents and businesses eager to begin moving interstate. \n\nQantas CEO Alan Joyce yesterday claimed border closures were politically motivated and called for greater clarity around intrastate and interstate travel to ensure the economy, namely in the tourism and aviation sector, could recover.\n\nNSW and Qld established a bubble for border town residents that required free movement for work and family reasons but many farming families have found it difficult to gain exemptions to access property outside the bubble.\n\nImage: News Corp Australia A tear of his leadership? No he has no responsibility Again your tweeter can't spell. It is 'consistent' not 'consistant'. Did none of you finish high school? And we like the border closed in Qld, thanks. Not opening up just so qantas et al can make money. Border battle beat up from economists. This is a Health issue where the economy just has to be second for now.
