The country's strict border closures will be the main issue of debate at National Cabinet today amid mounting criticism of the rising toll they are taking. 9News

NSW Agriculture Minister Adam Marshall will push for "national agriculture code" at the meeting today.

"If there's one industry that needs to operate without restriction is agriculture. If it's not that, what, we're supposed to import everything?"who desperately needed to get 43 tonnes of hay over to his NSW farm to feed his livestock Farmer Chris Taylor is struggling to cross the NSW border and was told to fly his hay from Melbourne to Sydney.

But Queensland is unlikely to budge, with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk saying again yesterday, "We will always take the advice of the Chief Health Officer to keep Queenslanders safe".
