EXCLUSIVE: A campaign directing people to vote for JimMolan is causing upset in the LiberalNSW Party – with a number of insiders “feeling really pissed off” at the grassroots below-the-line re-election campaign, Sky News has been told. 2600SkyNews

A campaign directing people to vote for Jim Molan is causing upset in the New South Wales Liberal Party – with a number of insiders “feeling really pissed off” at the grassroots below-the-line re-election campaign, Sky News has been told.

According to the pamphlets, voters are told to cast their ballot for Jim Molan first, before preferencing other endorsed Coalition candidates. Voters are then instructed to preference United Australia Party candidates, Christian Democrat candidates, and the Liberal-Democrat Duncan Spender, to fill in the requisite 12 boxes for below-the-line Senate voting.

The Liberal Party also appears to be distancing itself from the Molan campaign. In an email to Liberal members, dated 26 April, NSW Campaign director Chris Stone said: Handing out the rogue how-to-vote cards could lead to members being kicked out of the party, one Liberal source said.“But I expect they’d wait until after the election.”
