BREAKING: Liberal candidate for Isaacs Jeremy Hearn will reportedly be disendorsed by his party for anti-Muslim comments he posted on social media last year. MORE:

The Labor Party is calling on Scott Morrison to sack Victorian Liberal candidate Jeremy Hearn after he described Muslims as people of ‘bad character who should not be given Australian citizenship’.

Mr Hearn posted the comments online last year adding, Muslim schools should not be given tax dollars because they are ‘a rebellion against the government’ and all Muslims subscribe to an ideology of killing or enslaving Australians if they do not convert to Islam. The Liberal candidate for Isaacs in Melbourne’s southeast went on to say that Muslims were trying to overthrow Australia’s political and legal systems with Sharia Law.

Calls for Morrison to sack Liberal candidate over anti-Muslim, conspiracy-laden rantLabor is calling for Prime Minister Scott Morrison to sack Liberal candidate Jeremy Hearn after a recent social media post surfaced that revealed controversial opinions he now says are not right. No need to sack him. There are a lot of Christian hating Muslims out there. I’d sack him for retracting. How is this remotely controversial? Individual muslims may think a lot of things, but Islam certainly tells them to do this. That’s why we have these in our cities.
